(London, March 27, 2023) –The Story Collective is augmenting its central team as production continues on its first scripted project, the Disney + commissioned A Thousand Blows (w/t), created by Steven Knight (“Peaky Blinders”), with a stellar cast that includes Stephen Graham (“The Virtues”), Malachi Kirby (“Small Axe”), Erin Doherty (“The Crown”), Francis Lovehall (“His Dark Materials”) and James Nelson-Joyce (“The Gold”).
Elouise West joins as Head of Commercial, Legal and Business Affairs from New Pictures, where, over the past four years, she was responsible for running business affairs on a wide range of productions, from Des for ITV to Champion, the first TV project from Candice Carty-Williams for the BBC and Netflix. In her new role, she will also be responsible for overseeing business affairs on all company productions as well as the shows being produced within the company’s investment portfolio.
Ceci Mazzarella signs on as Head of Development, most recently from See-Saw Films, where she worked closely across the development of many prestigious UK film projects and helped establish See-Saw’s nascent limited series TV slate. Her credits include Operation Mincemeat and the upcoming feature One Life, starring Anthony Hopkins, Johnny Flynn and Helena Bonham Carter. Building on her creative contacts in both feature film and TV, she will work closely with The Story Collective’s executive producer Kate Lewis to develop a slate of bold writer-driven TV projects that combine attitude with emotion; propulsive, entertaining shows that offer an incisive view on the world we live in.
CEO, Damian Keogh said: “As production continues on A Thousand Blows and our development slate grows within our investment portfolio, we feel very lucky that Elouise and Ceci have agreed to join us. Both are highly talented in their fields and, most importantly as we build our ethos, extremely kind, patient, fun and collaborative.”
